Nicki plush sweater

Plush (actually French peluche [pəlyʃ]) is a fabric or knitted fabric with a very soft feel.

As a fabric, plush is made in a similar way to velvet . In contrast to this, plush has a much higher, but less dense fiber pile (up to several centimeters in height).

In the case of knitted shear plush or nicki plush , an extra thread is tied into normal knitted fabric , which forms small loops on the surface of the fabric . When the loops are cut, the many small threads hanging from the fabric create a velvety surface. The additional thread can be integrated over the entire surface or with a pattern (for example terrycloth ).
