Gottlieb Zinner & Sons was the name of a toy , automaton and doll manufacturer based in Schalkau, founded in the first half of the 19th century in Thuringia .

history

The company was founded in 1845 and specialized in both vending machines and cheap products for the toy market.

In the years from 1921 to 1935 the company also produced clothed and jointed dolls. One mark found on the products was an inverted six-pointed star, in the center of which the letter Z was depicted in a circle.

The company's products, such as a candy container in the shape of a painted Santa Claus made from papier mâché , composition material and glass , were offered on the collectors' market for up to five-digit amounts in 2016 .

In the local museum Schalkau , located at the German Toy Road , there is tin toys & Sons such as a movable Gottlieb Zinner Christmas scene in a doll's house .

In the Nuremberg Toy Museum there is also a doll machine manufactured by Gottlieb Zinner & Sons from around 1910 under inventory number 1970.1218 .
