Check
According to DIN 1319, testing means determining the extent to which a test object fulfills a requirement.
If the test is carried out only with the human senses - without aids - one speaks of subjective testing . The test results are difficult to compare with one another. If aids - so-called test equipment - are used, one speaks of objective testing .
Objective test methods are divided into the types of measuring and gauging. When measuring , a physical variable is recorded with a measuring device and a measured value is determined. The measured value is made up of a numerical value and a unit that represents the physical quantity.
When teaching , it is determined whether the object to be tested is within predetermined limits or not. The test result when teaching is not a numerical value, but a pass / reject / rework statement. Often it can be seen when teaching in which direction the limit has been crossed.
