DIN 1319

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The DIN standard DIN 1319 is the basic German standard for measurement technology . In the following, the history and the title of the individual parts of the standard are dealt with, metrological content is described in the reference articles.

history

DIN 1319 was first published in July 1942, at that time without being divided into today's four parts. Revisions followed in January 1962 and December 1963, after which the standard was split up.

DIN 1319-1

Part 1 of the standard defines the basic terms of measurement technology . The standard was first published in December 1968. The first revision took place in November 1971, when the standard title was “Basic concepts of measuring technology; Measure, count, test ”. After a further revision in June 1985, the currently valid edition is from January 1995.

Part 2 of the standard defines the terms for measuring equipment and their application in measurement technology. The standard was first published in December 1968 under the title “Basic concepts of measurement technology; Terms for the use of measuring instruments ”published. The first revision took place in January 1980, the currently valid edition is from October 2005.

DIN 1319-3

Brief description: Evaluation of measurements of a single measured variable, measurement uncertainty
Latest edition 5.1996

Part 3 of the standard applies to the determination of the value of an individual measured variable and its measurement uncertainty through the evaluation of measurements. It also applies analogously to computer-simulated measurements. A method for evaluation is specified when the measured variable is measured directly or calculated from other variables with a given function.
The standard was first published in December 1968. The first revision took place in January 1972, at that time the title was “Basic concepts of measurement technology; Terms for errors in measuring ”. After a revision in August 1983 ("Basic concepts of measurement technology; concepts for measurement uncertainty and for the assessment of measuring devices and measuring devices"), the standard was issued in May 1996 under the current title.

DIN 1319-4

This standard is to be used in more general cases than DIN 1319-3, e.g. B. if a compensation calculation is to be carried out or if several measured variables are to be evaluated together as functions of other variables. DIN 1319-4 was first published in December 1985. At that time the title was “Basic concepts of measurement technology; Treatment of uncertainties in the evaluation of measurements ”. It was published under the current title in February 1999.
