Ünal Aysal

Ünal Aysal (born June 2, 1941 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish businessman. From May 2011 to October 2014 he was the president of the Turkish sports club Galatasaray Istanbul .

Live and act

Ünal Aysal attended Galatasaray High School , which he graduated in 1960. He then studied law at the University of Istanbul and later at the University of Neuchâtel in Switzerland. From 1970 to 1972 he worked at Koç Holding as a foreign trade coordinator and in 1974 founded Unit International in Brussels , Belgium. Aysal has been involved in the oil business and electronic equipment production since 1984. He is President of the Unit Group, which consists of 23 companies. In 1999 he was honored by the President of Turkey as the best representative of Turkish companies abroad. Ünal Aysal is one of the 100 richest entrepreneurs in Turkey according to Forbes Magazine - 2017. His fortune is estimated at 825 million dollars.

On May 14, 2011, Aysal Adnan replaced Polat and became the 34th President of Galatasaray Istanbul.

On June 22, 2013, Ünal Aysal was re-elected President of Galatasaray Istanbul for three years with 1,404 of 1,412 valid votes. Aysal announced his resignation as President of Galatasaray Istanbul in October 2014. He was succeeded by Duygun Yarsuvat .
