Ürümqi ( Chinese  乌鲁木齐 县 , Pinyin Wūlǔmùqí Xiàn ; Uighur ئۈرۈمچى ناھىيىسى, Ürümqi Naⱨiyisi ) is a district of the prefecture-level city of Ürümqi in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China . It has an area of ​​4,332.16 km² and has 82,349 inhabitants (2003).
