The vehicles of the ČSD series 514.9 were five- coupled freight train tank locomotives of the Czechoslovak State Railways (ČSD), which originally came from the Studénská-Štramberská dráha ( Stauding-Stramberger Eisenbahn ; StŠtD).

history

In 1939 the Stauding-Stramberger Eisenbahn ordered two locomotives from ČKD , which largely corresponded to the tried and tested ČSD class 514.0 . However, because of the Second World War , they were not delivered until 1947. They differed from the ČSD series 514.0 mainly in the boiler from series 423.0 and the lack of a superheater.

As private railway locomotives, they were given the numbers 514.901 and 514.902 in the ČSD designation scheme. After the nationalization of the Stauding-Stramberger Railway, 514.901 was renamed 514.013 on January 1, 1951, and 514.902 was sold to the Štramberk lime works on January 7, 1951.

The 514.013 was taken out of service by the ČSD in 1967. None of the 514.9 series has been preserved in a museum.
