The kkStB 1083.001 was an electric locomotive of the kk Staatsbahnen (kkStB). It was intended for the operation of the siding of the local railway Zartlesdorf – Hohenfurth – Lippnerschwebe .

history

The locomotive was built in 1912 by the Austrian Siemens-Schuckert (electrical equipment) and Ringhoffer (mechanical part) in Prague -Smichov for in South Bohemia located Vyšší Electric local railway (HEL) built. HeL added the vehicle with the number 51 to its inventory. When the kkStB took over the operation of the local railway and thus also its vehicles in July 1912, the locomotive was given the number 1083.01. Because of its low performance, it was only used on the tow railways and as a shunting locomotive; the line service was carried out by the comparatively powerful class 22.0 railcars .

After the First World War, the vehicle remained on its main route, therefore came into the possession of the newly founded Czechoslovakia and was designated by the ČSD as E 200.001. After the Sudetenland became part of Germany in the autumn of 1938, the Hohenfurther Electric Local Railway also came under the administration of the Deutsche Reichsbahn and the locomotive was now designated as the E 174.01. After the Second World War, the locomotive was returned to the ČSD.

The ČSD decommissioned the vehicle in 1956 after the line was extensively modernized due to the construction of the Lipno reservoir and converted to a catenary voltage of 1500 V.
