The ČSD series E 426.0 (from 1988: series 113 ) are four-axle electric locomotives for the 1.5 kV DC lines operated by the former Czechoslovak State Railways (ČSD).
history
The locomotives were procured when the first generation locomotives, the E 422.0 , had reached the end of their normative service life at the beginning of the 1970s . The locomotives were also intended to replace the older locomotives still in existence on the two lines, which still operated with 1.5 kV direct current , Rybník – Lipno nad Vltavou and Tábor – Bechyně .
In 1973, Škoda in Plzeň delivered six of the new E 426.0 series. The locomotives are largely identical to the ČSD series E 458.0, which was produced at the same time (since 1988: series 110). The most important difference is the lack of additional ballast in order to be able to comply with the required axle load of 16 tons. Halving the contact wire voltage halved the hourly and continuous output. The locomotives 113 001 to 003 were based in Tábor , the 004 to 006 in České Budějovice .
The locomotives were all part of the České dráhy (ČD) inventory in 1993 . In 2004, the Rybník – Lipno nad Vltavou line was converted to a contact line voltage of 25 kV at 50 Hz. 113 004 has been based in Tábor since 2003. The locomotives 113 005 and 006 were converted to 3 kV in the spring of 2003 in Prague and redrawn as 110 205 and 206 .
