Đuro Blažeka

Đuro Blažeka (born April 8, 1968 in Prelog ) is a Croatian linguist , lexicographer , educator and Kaykavian expert.

Career

Blažeka attended elementary school in Prelog in Murinseln . He attended high school in Varaždin . In 1998 he wrote his master's degree in Govor Preloga (dialect of Prelog ). In 2004 he received his doctorate with a thesis govori Međimurja (dialects in Murinseln ). For a short time he studied in Salzburg .

From 1992 to 1999 he taught the Croatian language at secondary schools in Zagreb . In 1998 he became a teacher at the Čakovec Pedagogical University . From October 1, 2006 to November 11, 2009 he was dean at the university of education. On November 12, 2009, he became deputy dean of the Pedagogical Faculty of Zagreb.

Đuro Blažeka publishes books and articles on the Kajkavian dialects (Murinslen, Podravina). He is married and has four kids. Today he lives in Zagreb.
