İçərişəhər (also Icheri Sheher , German  old town ) is a metro station in Baku on line 1 in the historic city center. It was opened on November 6, 1967 as one of the first five stations. Regular traffic began on November 25, 1967. The station was called Bakı Soveti until 2007. In April 2007 the station was renamed İçərişəhər according to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan .

After a renovation of the station that began in July 2008, it was reopened on December 29, 2008. A metal and glass pyramid was used for the entrance to the station. The outer height of the upper vestibule is 14 meters (height of the old town fortress).

The middle hall and both walls of the platform area are decorated with sixteen pictures of old Baku from France. On the back there is a fragment of the fortress walls of the old town with the word "İçərişəhər". The only exit from the station opens onto Istiglaliyyat Street, in the immediate vicinity of the city hall.
