The İkizcetepeler Dam ( Turkish İkizcetepeler Barajı ) is located 20 km south of the provincial capital Balıkesir in the northwestern Turkish province of Balıkesir on the course of the Kille Çayı , a tributary of the Simav Çayı .
The İkizcetepeler Dam was built in 1986–1992 as a debris dam with a clay core . It is used for irrigation , water supply and flood protection . The dam has a height of 52 m above the foundation level and 45 m above the valley floor. It has a volume of 1,115,000 m³. The associated reservoir covers an area of 9.6 km² and has a storage volume of 165 million m³. The dam is used to irrigate an area of approx. 4700 ha.
