The İnandıktepe is an archaeological site in the Turkish province of Çankırı , about 80 km northeast of Ankara . In 1965, during construction work, fragments of a Hittite relief vase came to light, after which the site was archaeologically examined.

A total of five construction phases were identified, most of which can be traced back to a Hittite settlement. A building complex of around 2,000 m² was uncovered, which extended over the entire ridge of the hill, but was only partially preserved. This complex was destroyed by a large fire. The excavators suspected that this complex could be identified as a temple, especially because of its inventory, but this did not go unchallenged. As an alternative interpretation that of a country house was suggested.

In addition to 49 complete vessels, smaller vessels, pitchers, a so-called fruit stand as well as bull jackets, a temple model and a tub were found at İnandıktepe . There is also an Akkadian clay tablet , which allows the site to be dated. It is a cuneiform document which certifies the donation of land from the official Tuttulla to his nephew. It bears the so-called anonymous Tabarna seal , which went out of use from Great King Alluwamna . Corresponding comparative finds from Hattuša come from the time of Telipinus , so that a dating according to middle chronology to the end of the 16th century is assumed here too.
