İsmail Beyazidi

İsmail Beyazidi ( Kurdish : Îsmaîlê Bazîdî; * 1654 in Ağrı, Doğubeyazıt , Ottoman Empire ; † 1709 ibid) was a poet and writer of classical Kurdish literature .

Live and act

Beyazidi studied religion and literature with Ehmedê Xanî . Xanî influenced Beyazidi's poems significantly. He wrote a dictionary with the title Gulzar , which was written in the three languages Kurdish , Persian and Arabic and was especially used for the education of children.
