İsmail Hakki Bey

İsmail Hakkı Bey (* 1865 or 1866 in Istanbul ; † December 30, 1927 there ) was a Turkish composer and musician during the Ottoman Empire . He attended elementary school and then took up an apprenticeship as a weaver and acted as a prayer caller in the local mosque. Because of his voice he was admitted to the palace and enjoyed a musical education there.
