Ōtsuka Art Museum

The Ōtsuka Art Museum ( Engl. Otsuka Museum of Art for Japanese 大塚国際美術館 , Ōtsuka Kokusai Bijutsukan , "international Ōtsuka Art Museum") in Naruto , Tokushima Prefecture , Japan, is a museum of artistic reproductions . It opened in 1998. The building area covers 29,412 m², making it one of the largest exhibition areas in the country.

The industrialist Masahito Ōtsuka financed the building and the replicas with around EUR 400 million.

There are over 1000 reproductions of works of art on display, some of them whole naves in original size.

Special features are the Sistine Chapel , Cappella degli Scrovegni , the Triclinium of the Villa of Mysteries and Guernica .

On level B3F (below) are the objects whose dates of origin are the oldest in the original; each of the four higher floors has objects that are younger in the original.
