Ōwa (era)

Ōwa ( Japanese 応 和 ) is a Japanese era ( Nengō ) from March 961 to August 964 according to the Gregorian calendar . The previous era name is Tentoku , the following era is called Kōhō . The era falls during the reign of Emperor ( Tennō ) Murakami .

The first day of the wa era corresponds to March 5, 961, the last day was August 18, 964. The Ōwa era lasted four years or 1263 days.
