Hugo Woenne

Hugo Woenne (born February 22, 1863 in Gotha ; † June 19, 1930 ibid) was a German butcher and politician ( Economic Party (WP) ).

Live and act

Woenne was born as the son of a self-employed master butcher in Gotha. After attending the community school in his place of birth, he was trained as a butcher in his father's business and in 1884 he founded his own butcher's business.

From 1890 Woenne was head master of the Gotha Free Butchers' Guild and from 1913 Thuringian district chairman of the German Butchers Association and from 1915 to 1920 chairman of the Gotha Chamber of Crafts .

In 1918 Woenne was a member of the Gotha city council. In autumn 1926 the local branch of the economic party was founded in Gotha, in which he worked as 2nd chairman until his death. From April 30, 1927 to January 22, 1930 Woenne was a state councilor for Gotha and a member of the Leutheusser and Paulssen governments of the state of Thuringia .
