Šarūnas Keserauskas

Šarūnas Keserauskas (* 1975 ) is a Lithuanian administrative lawyer, chairman of the Lithuanian competition authority ( Konkurencijos taryba ), former lawyer and university professor .

Life

After finishing high school in 1993 graduated from the middle school Keserauskas 1993-1998 the diploma study of law as a graduate lawyer at the Law Faculty of the University of Vilnius , in 2003 postgraduate studies ( LL.M. of EU law ) and in 2010 earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Law at King's College London . From 1998 he led the civil law training seminars and from 1999 to 2004 taught family law at Vilnius University. He has been teaching competition law there since 2005 . From 2000 to 2005 he also taught it at the Riga Graduate School of Law in Latvia .

From 1995 to 2009 he worked as a lawyer and business attorney in the law firm "Lideika, Petrauskas, Valiūnas ir partneriai" (now business law law firm "Valiūnas ir partneriai Ellex "). There he was a legal assistant, from July 1998 an associate lawyer, from 2001 a lawyer and from 2006 a consultant on competition law issues. From August 2009 to March 2011 he worked as a senior legal adviser at Office of Fair Trading . Since April 2011 he has been chairing the Lietuvos Respublikos konkurencijos taryba. He was appointed by Dalia Grybauskaitė .

Keserauskas is often invited as a guest speaker to local and international events on competition issues. He advised Armenian NCAs and was meanwhile a junior project leader in the twinning project, which aimed to strengthen the enforcement capacities of the Egyptian NCAs.

Keserauskas is fluent in English and Russian and has a basic knowledge of the French language.
