AB Šatrija is a textile company in the Rajong municipality Raseiniai , Lithuania . In 2000 it employed 1,273 people.

history

1955 a branch of was Kaunas plant "Spalis" (dt. ' October ') established in premises of the former barracks. In 1962 new housings were built with large mines and new systems were installed. After that, a mine became independent and renamed to Šatrija at the suggestion of the factory workers . Since 1999 the company has belonged to the Lithuanian group UAB SBA . In 2009 the company achieved sales of 10 million litas (3 million euros). During the year, the company sews an average of 100,000 different products. More than 200 people are employed in the sewing plants in Raseiniai . It exports to Great Britain, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Austria, France, Norway, Spain and via the European trading companies to New Zealand , Malaysia , Saudi Arabia and other countries.
