AB Šiaulių maistas was a company in the Lithuanian city of Šiauliai .
history
In 1932 the meat processing plant was established. A combine ( Šiaulių mėsos Kombinatas ) was established in Soviet Lithuania . In 1982 they produced 38,500 tons of meat and sub-products, 8600 tons of sausage . From May 28, 1992 to August 3, 1993 there was the state enterprise Šiaulių valstybinis akcinis mėsos fabrikas . On August 5, 1993 the company was established as Akcinė bendrovė "Šiaulių maistas". On April 22, 1991, a branch in Venta near Akmenė ( Šiaulių valstybinio mėsos fabriko Akmenės gyvulių supirkimo punktas ) was established and closed on March 22, 1994. In 2014 the company owed 12.7 mln. Lt (3.6 million euros). On November 10, 2003, "Šiaulių maistas" was dissolved. The cooperative ( Kooperatinė bendrovė ) "Naujasis Šiaulių maistas" founded in 2000 rented the facilities from "Šiaulių maistas" and continued the company's operations. It was dissolved on July 30, 2009.
