history

The vodka was originally developed in Poland in the 17th century and mainly distributed throughout the country by traders from the Belowescher forests . At that time, however, the taste varied greatly depending on the quality and content of the ingredients. It was not until 1926 that the Polmos company succeeded in making vodka suitable for mass production. In 1936, production was temporarily relocated from Białystok to Brześć , but continued at the original location after Poland was shifted to the west in the course of World War II in 1945. In 1991 the production facilities were finally privatized. Since 2005 the brand has belonged to the company CEDC, which in turn has belonged to the Russian Standard Corporation since 2013 .
