Ștefan Mihăilescu-Brăila (born February 3, 1925 in Brăila , Romania , † September 19, 1996 in Bucharest , Romania) was a Romanian actor .

Life

Ștefan Mihăilescu-Brăila made his theater debut in 1949 and was seen in Romanian film from 1958. In addition to feature films in Who is a Billionaire? , The Paths of the Sons and September he was also seen in two DEFA productions with In the Dust of the Stars and The Lost Inka Gold . At the same time, he played regularly on various theater stages.

With an estimated height of 1.62 to 1.65 m, Mihăilescu-Brăila was below average. He was legendary for his memory and, according to himself, could quickly memorize text-rich roles. He could manage up to 2000 words a day and 14,000 words a week. In addition, the actor was considered a particularly difficult personality, irritable, solitary and brilliant. Completely lonely, he died on September 19, 1996 at the age of 71.
