β-Arrestin (also β-Arrestin 1, Arrestin 2) is a protein that regulates the activity of G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCR). It leads to a reduced activation of the GPCR, to an endocytosis of the GPCR and connects the GPCR signal path with the Src signal path , ERK signal path and the Akt signal path.
