Lists on the subject

The .950 JDJ is a very high energy cartridge that was developed by JD Jones and produced by SSK Industries. The name extension JDJ indicates the developer.

cartridge

The .950 JDJ has about ten times the energy of modern magnum cartridges (for example .300 WSM ). A loaded .950 JDJ corresponds to the length of an empty .50 BMG . The .950 is based on a 20 mm Vulcan cartridge case that has been shortened and calibrated for this caliber. The cartridge is a so-called "Wildcat", ammunition that is not produced in series. Therefore, reliable data on the cartridge are difficult to detect.

Rifles

The rifles are 0.95 inches (24.13 mm) in caliber. The weight and size of the loaded weapon make it pointless to use it for hunting because the weapon is too heavy and there are better alternatives.

reception

The caliber as well as the corresponding weapons are exotic, which indeed prove the feasibility of such weapons, but have no meaning in practical use. Strong calibers such as those used in anti-tank rifles have occasionally broken the shoulder bones of riflemen.
