070 Shake (born June 13, 1997 in North Bergen , New Jersey , real life Danielle Balbuena ) is an American rapper.

biography

Balbuena grew up in North Bergen , a suburb of New York , and went to high school there. In 2015, she teamed up with friends and founded the rap collective 070 , which is based on the New Jersey zip code. She began to write her first tracks and at the end of 2015 she published her songs Swervin and PROUD , with which she gained first attention, on Soundcloud . 

2016 she released more singles (u. A. Honey and Trust Nobody ) and was followed by guest appearances, among others, Beyoncé and The 1975 , when Kanye West's label Good Music contracted. She is also featured on West's album Ye in 2018 and helped it to success through her commitment. The song Ghost Town contained on it developed into the first chart success with the participation of the musician, which was able to prove itself in the charts in the USA, the United Kingdom , Austria and Switzerland and was awarded gold in the artist's home country. 

In the same year she released her first EP, Glitter , which consists of six tracks. After two years, 070 Shake's first album, Modus Vivendi , was released in spring 2020 .
