List of TV channels

An interactive television program was held under the name 1-2-play.tv , where viewers could dial in via a chargeable telephone number and answer questions. The station started after a delay due to a broadcast license not yet granted on October 13, 2006 and, like its sister channel 1-2-3.tv , was based in Unterföhring . The managing directors of 1-2-play.tv were Andreas Büchelhofer and Peter Kuhl.
On the night of January 16, 2007, the station shut down after only three months due to insufficient numbers of participants. However, since February 2, 2007, 1-2-play.tv has been sending interactive SMS games from the company "5Works", the operator who also produced the Super RTL Fun Night on Super RTL. However, these were discontinued at the end of March 2007.

concept

In contrast to the call-in channel 9Live , for example, all callers at 1-2-play.tv could take part in the ongoing competitions . In order to be able to play, viewers had to dial into a chargeable hotline and register. It was free to play in the first few weeks. Since mid-November 2006, 0.49 euros per minute have been charged.

In the program, questions were asked on various topics, and depending on the level of difficulty, there were different numbers of points to answer. There were several possible answers to each question. The viewers were able to enter the number for the correct answer using the telephone keypad.

For some questions only a number, for example a year, was asked for. Then this had to be entered via the telephone keypad and confirmed with the hash key. In the initial phase the questions were asked randomly one after the other and there were hour winners. This principle was changed in November 2006: Since then, five questions have been asked about each field of knowledge and then 30 euros have been divided among the winners of the question block. The answers to all five questions were only given at the end of a round. Previously there were hourly prizes of € 50. Occasionally, jokers were used in questions after a few seconds . An incorrect answer option was deleted. The scores for a correct answer decreased when using a joker.

1-2-play.tv broadcast its program digitally via the Astra satellite . The broadcast was via transponder 103, 12.460 GHz, polarization horizontal, FEC 3/4, symbol rate 27.5 MSymb / s. 1-2-play.tv was also represented in the digital cable networks of Vodafone Kabel Deutschland and Kabel BW .
