The 1. FC TV Urbach 1897 eV was a German sports club based in Baden-Wuerttemberg community Urbach in Rems-Murr-Kreis .
Predecessor club
1. FC Urbach
In March 1921 the 1. FC Urbach was founded out of the "Club der Gemütlichkeit". After a few friendlies, he took part in the C-Class Schwäbisch Gmünd and was then to be promoted to the B-Class and in 1926 to the A-Class . In 1930 and 1931 the club also played in the Württemberg regional league . From then until 1933 this was the district league group Rems-Fils . After the National Socialists came to power , the divisions were reallocated and 1. FC returned to the A-class. In the very first season, the championship succeeded here again, but it would take until 1935 for promotion. After the outbreak of the Second World War , gaming had to be stopped for the time being.
Shortly after the end of the war, the team took part in the regional league in Stuttgart again, and for the 1946/47 season, after a reallocation of the divisions, the Rems / Kocher regional division . On April 30, 1948, the football club merged with the Unterurbach gymnastics club to form 1. FC-TV Urbach 1897 eV .

After the merger with the Unterurbach gymnastics club in 1948, the football team returned to the A-class Neckar / Reims for the 1953/54 season through a further redistribution of classes . Already in the next season there was the next redistribution which brought the club into the A-class Rems-Murr . This year the club managed to win the championship with a score of 33: 5, in the following round of promotion it continued successfully, with which the club was allowed to play in the 2nd amateur league Stuttgart next year . The club was able to hold on there for many years, but at the end of the 1966/67 season finally had to save itself from relegation by winning the relegation relegation. In the following season, however, they showed exactly the opposite and surprisingly became champions of their season, after which they also managed to move up to the 1st Amateur League North Württemberg. At the end of the season 1968/69 the class could be held with 26:38 points over the 12th place. Due to many injuries, the team's skill level was then even weaker in the following season and so the club had to be the last to relegate from the league at the end of the season with 15:45 points.
In 1988 1. FC-TV then merged with TSV Urbach to form today's SC Urbach .
Successor club
The first soccer team of SC Urbach played in the 2003/04 season in the district league Rems / Murr and finished there in third place with 53 points at the end of the season. At the end of the following season, with only 20 points, they went down to 14th place in the district league A. The team still plays there today.
