The 1. FC Nordenham is a sports club based in Nordenham in Lower Saxony . The association was founded in 1994.
history
The predecessor club SC Nordenham was founded in 1910 and played in the 1927/28 season in the Weser-Jade district league, the top division in the Weser-Ems area at the time . The athletics department of SC Nordenham included the short-distance sprinter Georg Lammers , who won the bronze medal in the 100-meter run in Amsterdam at the 1928 Olympic Games and won the silver medal in the 4-by-100-meter relay. After 1933 there was a forced merger between SC and FC Hansa Nordenham .
In 1951 SC Nordenham was re-established and was able to rise to the amateur league in the 1951/52 season . After direct relegation and promotion, SC Nordenham was able to hold onto the amateur league until 1960, which was the second highest division after the league . However, there were no successes afterwards, which is why in 1971 a merger of the clubs SC Nordenham , VfL Nordenham , 1. Nordenham Swimming Club and the Judo Club Nordenham took place and SV Nordenham was founded. In the 1970s and 1980s, the footballers of SV Nordenham made it to the district league several times.
After savings in the football division, the men's teams of SVN merged in 1994 with TuS Einswarden to form 1. FC Nordenham. Originally, TSV Abbehausen should also be part of 1. FC Nordenham, but this failed due to the resistance of the members. The TuS Einswarden was founded in 1921, banned as a Workers' Association since 1933 and re-established the 1945th TuS Einswarden was completely absorbed by the FCN, the SV Nordenham still exists and forms a syndicate with the FCN in the youth soccer field.
