12305 Fifth Helena Drive is a residential building in the Brentwood district of the American city of Los Angeles ( California ). It is known as the last residence of the actress Marilyn Monroe .

The single storey house was built in 1929 in the style of a Spanish hacienda . It is at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac off Carmelina Avenue. The building has an L-shaped floor plan and comprises around 270 m² of living space. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms in the building. Behind the building there is a swimming pool, next to it a grove of citrus plants and the guest house. The side facing the street is adorned with painted tiles with the motto "Cursum Perficio" (German: I have completed my path. ) It is not known whether Monroe himself or one of the subsequent owners installed the tiles.

The most famous owner was the actress Marilyn Monroe. In February 1962, she bought the property for $ 77,500. According to sources, she paid half of it in cash and took out a mortgage for the other half. Six months later, on the night of August 4-5, 1962, Monroe was found dead in the bedroom of her house.

In 2017, the house was put up for sale by Lisa Optican of Mercer Vine for $ 6.9 million and finally sold for $ 7.25 million in June 2017.
