The 150 Tux is an almost two kilometer long cable car in the Tux Alps , which is located in the Zillertal 3000 ski area .
Technical specifications
The 150 Tux, built by Doppelmayr in 2001 , is a so-called aerial tramway with cabins that can transport up to 150 people. The valley station of the cable car is near the Mittertrett-Alm at an altitude of 1716 meters, its mountain station is on the summit of the Wanglspitze at an altitude of 2420 meters. The distance between these two stations is 1799 meters, which the cable car covers in 3.6 minutes with a maximum speed of 12 m / s. At the steepest point, the track has a gradient of 74 percent.
The 150 Tux is the second largest aerial tramway in Austria after the Ahornbahn .
