description

Construction of the row of buildings began in 1797. Its completion is not known, but a map from 1805 shows the complete row of buildings, so that the work must have been completed beforehand. The buildings describe a flat arch along the Atholl Crescent on the northern edge of the city center. Opposite, a public green extends to the Tay .

The two-story row of buildings is designed in a classical style. Each of the houses is three axes wide. Flanking pilasters visually delimit the facades of the individual houses. Cornices crown the central entrance doors. The facade of building number 2 was once plastered with Harl . The central house emerges slightly from the arch. It is designed more elaborately. Doric columns flank the entrance door. Its facade closes with a simple triangular gable with oculus .
