25m standard pistol

The shooting sport discipline 25m standard pistol is shot internationally in ISSF competitions . National competitions are held by the members of the ISSF, such as B. the DSB ( Germany ), ÖSB ( Austria ) or the SSV ( Switzerland ).

The same sports pistols or revolvers in caliber .22 lfB that can also be used in the sports pistol discipline are used. According to the rules of the ISSF, the trigger weight must be at least 1000 g. The weight (max. 1400 g) and the length of the weapon, the sight ( open sight ) and the design of the handle are also regulated.

Target 25m standard pistol

The competition usually consists of 60 shots in three successive rounds of 20 shots each. Each round consists of 4 series of 5 shots in the order a) 4 × 5 shots in 150 seconds each, b) 4 × 5 shots in 20 seconds each, c) 4 × 5 shots in 10 seconds each. The targets are the same as those used in the “ Free Pistol ” competition .

Records

From 1970 to 2010, 33 medals were awarded in the individual competitions for the 25m standard pistol at the World Championships. Other events organized by the ISSF include: B. the World Cup and the continental championships, through which individual shooters and teams qualify.
