2К32 “Deva” - Russian mortar complex on a self-propelled gun of an MT-LB using the mortar modification 2B24 , which was developed in the research department of the military-industrial company “Burevestnik” in Nizhny Novgorod . The mortar complex has been in service with the Russian Army since 2011.
construction
The mortar complex 2К32 was developed to increase the mobility and general safety of the troops, which are equipped with mortars as part of a battery. The mortar complex is used to combat soldiers who are entrenched in trenches or in lightly armored vehicles.
Armament
The standard armament is the 82-mm 2B24 mortar with a number of 84 mines. Firing can take place both inside and outside the armored vehicle. The 7.62 mm PK machine gun with a total of 1500 cartridges or the 12.7 mm cord machine gun can be used as secondary armament .
Mortar 2B24
The mortar with the designation 2B24 is a modernized modification of the 82-mm 2B14 mortar. a. the construction of the base plate. To prevent the mortar from being loaded twice, a modernized safety mechanism was designed. Without moving the bipod, horizontal target acquisition is between −4 and +4 degrees. The barrel has a safety mechanism in order to be able to safely unload the barrel in the event of a miss. The weight is about 45 kg. The rate of fire is up to 20 shots per minute. There is also the option of using a newer type of mine 3-O-26, which has a range of 6 km.
