2nd II None is a hip hop duo from Compton , California . It consists of the cousins KK (civil Kelton L. McDonald ) and Gangsta D (civil Deon Barnett ).
The release of the demo album The Red Tape by DJ Quik , on which 2nd II None contributed guest verses on almost all tracks, marks the beginning of her career. Her first own album 2nd II None was released in 1991 on Profile Records. In 1999 they released their second album Classic 220 , which was released on Arista Records . Their albums were mainly produced by DJ Quik and 2nd II None themselves. In 2008 the album The Shit, recorded in 1994, was released unofficially on the Internet, and Suge Knight is also listed as executive producer . The duo worked with Hi-C , AMG , Mausberg and Playa Hamm , among others .
