2ruff , also called 2 Ruff , was a German hip-hop formation from Hamburg .

biography

2ruff was founded in 1992. The members were the producer Simple Simon (bourgeois Simon Hesslein), Lyn T. aka Say-On (bourgeois Sayon Taye) and Gio E. Until the separation in 2000, two albums and various singles were released . With Owner of a Lonely Heart , a cover version of the Yes hit from 1983, they entered the German single charts in April 1998 . The song reached number 65 and stayed in the top 100 for 6 weeks. At the end of the year, 2ruff was part of the Rap Allstars with the single Last Christmas , a new version of the Wham! -Hits from 1984, represented in the top 30 of the German and Swiss charts .
