30 days of prayer for the Islamic world

30 Opening Prayer for the Muslim World (English 30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World ) is an international evangelical prayer initiative that since 1993 every year in parallel with the Islamic fasting month of Ramadan takes place. One of its goals is to support Christian minorities and converts who have left Islam and turned to Christianity. In addition, the proselytizing of followers of Islam is supported.

The prayer initiative

The English-language edition distributed in 2009 was 350,000 copies, according to the editors, and 80,000 prayer books were printed in German in 2008, according to the (non-participating) Vatican Radio .

The prayer requests, which change daily during the 30-day campaign, focus on either an entire Muslim state, a single city, an ethnic group or Muslims living in non-Islamic foreign countries, e.g. B. as guest workers, live.
