history
The 35th grammar school with increased Russian lessons was founded in 1950. It was initially located in the 1st school building on Stara Planina 1. In the fall of 1950, the school was moved to the 9th school building. At this time, lessons with Russian teachers began. Students from all over the country were accepted, which made it necessary to set up a boarding school. In 1955 an English-speaking branch was created in the school, which was separated three years later as the first English-speaking grammar school. The lower classes were spun off as the Russian-language school "Alexander Sergejewitsch Pushkin" in 1963 and the upper classes were moved to the building at 40 Dobri Wojnikow Street, which also housed the 40th elementary school.
