740 Boyz was an American dance project founded in 1991 by New Yorker Winston Rosa. The biggest hit was called Shimmy Shake and was released in 1994.
Band history
Winston Rosa worked with various artists such as Shaggy and Afrika Bambaata before founding 740 Boyz with Pickles and Danny. In New York he met Rafael Vargas, who was successful with 2 in a Room . The result of the subsequent collaboration between the two acts was the single Shimmy Shake . In 1995 it entered the German , Austrian and British charts ; The single achieved the greatest success in France, where it rose to number 2 and stayed in the top ten for a total of 13 weeks. With Bump Bump Booty Shake , 740 Boyz managed to get into some European single charts in 1996. After three more publications, the project came to an end in 1997.
