2 in a Room was a Eurodance duo from the United States that originated in the 1980s. The biggest hit was called Wiggle It and was released in 1990. By 1996, the project was a frequent guest on the US and European dance charts.

Band history

The duo 2 in a Room came from Washington Heights , New York . It consisted of singer Dose and keyboardist Rog Nice. It was first published in the late 1980s. The music was a combination of hip hop and dance . Titles like Do What You Want and Wiggle It became airplay hits in the US. She's Got Me Going Crazy became the first chart success in Europe and placed in the UK charts .

When Wiggle It entered the UK Top 10 , German Single Charts , Swiss Hit Parade , US Top 20 and Austrian Top 30 , the breakthrough was a success. In the US, the single got a gold record . Although this success could not be repeated, there were still further chart listings until 1996.

Together with rapper Elvin "Floodlight" Ovalles, El Trago (The Drink) was created in 1994 and Ahora Es (Now Is the Time) in 1995 . The collaboration with 740 Boyz , another project by Rafael Vargas, spawned Shimmy Shake in 1995 , which became the New York act's second biggest hit . After Giddy Up , 2 in a Room disappeared from the charts in 1996 and dissolved a little later.
