79 Ceti b is an exoplanet that orbits the yellow subgiant 79 Ceti approximately every 76 days . Due to its high mass , it is assumed that it is a gas planet .

discovery

The planet was captured using the radial velocity method by Geoffrey Marcy et al. discovered in 2000 .

Circulation and mass

The planet orbits its star at a distance of approximately 0.35 astronomical units and has a mass of at least 0.23 Jupiter's masses.
