The 900 North Michigan Building is a 66-story skyscraper in the American city of Chicago .
It is located in the Chicago Loop not far from the John Hancock Center . The building has 66 floors and a height of 265 meters. After a two-year construction period, the 900 North Michigan Building was completed in 1989. Because of its eye-catching tip, it is often considered a particularly beautiful skyscraper. The building is the eighth tallest in Chicago . Shops and restaurants are located on the first six floors, and offices are located on the eighth floor. There is also a Four Seasons hotel and condominiums in the high-rise. With 1750 parking spaces, 900 North Michigan is home to one of the largest parking garages in Chicago.
The lower part of the structure was built from a steel structure, above which a reinforced concrete construction was used. The facade is made of limestone with green glass windows. The design of the building with its four characteristic turrets on the roof pays homage to Viennese architecture. The grounds of 900 North Michigan are bounded by East Delaware Place , East Walton Place, and North Michigan Avenue . The skyscraper was designed by the architects Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates .
