The airfield Jacmel (fr. Jacmel Airport ) (IATA: JAK , ICAO: MTJA ) is Jacmel , capital of the department of Sud-Est , about 40 km south of Port-au-Prince .

Jacmel Airfield is in the GMT -5 time zone and is currently managed by soldiers from the Canadian Armed Forces. (As of January 2010)

So far it has not been suitable for landing larger aircraft. There were no radar facilities. These are now being taken over by a Canadian aid ship off the coast.

A maximum of 5 Hercules can park in its waiting positions at the same time. Due to the consequences of the earthquake in Haiti (January 12th) , it is used as an international airport for aid deliveries.
