The Ashgabat Velodrome ( Turkmen Welotrek sport toplumy ; English Ashgabat Velodrome ; full name: Ashgabat Olympic Complex Velodrome) is a velodrome in the Turkmen capital Ashgabat . It is located in the Ashgabat Olympic complex and was built by the Turkish company Polimeks . The hall has a 250-meter track and offers 6,000 seats. The sports arena is located directly south of the Saparmyrat Turkmenbaşy Olympic Stadium, which was inaugurated in 2017 and has 45,000 seats. The sports complex was built for the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games 2017 . The track cycling competitions took place in the velodrome. End of September 2018, the awarded UCI the Track World Championships in 2021 in the Turkmen capital of Ashgabat with the velodrome as the venue.
