The German Youth League of the wA-Jugend (JBLH female) is from the 2013/14 season the highest division for teams of the female A-youth in handball . As part of the competition, the DHB determines the German champions in this age group.

mode

In the 2013/14 season, 32 teams will take part in the Bundesliga, with the number of teams being reduced in the following seasons. The clubs are divided into a total of eight groups of four by the DHB, each of which is played on four tournament weekends. The first two of each season qualify for the further rounds, which are played in the knockout system .

In contrast to the Bundesliga in the male youth division , the division takes place as a parallel game operation, so that the JBLH female participants are also allowed to take part in the division of their national or regional association.
