A. Kubilay Ertan

Abdurrahim Kubilay Ertan (born October 21, 1964 in Adana , Turkey ) is a Turkish-German medic. The longtime senior physician and meanwhile deputy director of the University Women's Clinic in Homburg received the Dr Haackert Prize in 2004 for his scientific work on prenatal neuromotor development disorders .

Life

Ertan received his doctorate in 1992 with “ magna cum laude ” on the subject of chronically toxic and carcinogenic effects of soluble or poorly soluble inorganic compounds of the heavy metals lead, nickel, cadmium and mercury in a perinatal experiment on BD-IX rats at the German Cancer Research Center of Heidelberg University . In 1998 he was recognized as a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics. Since 2005 he has been a private lecturer in gynecology and obstetrics . (Inaugural lecture December 17, 2004 at Saarland University on the topic of "Possibilities of modern prenatal diagnostics".) In 2007, Ertan was appointed chief physician at the Leverkusen Women's Clinic (commenced on September 1, 2007). In 2013 he received an extraordinary professorship at the University Hospital Homburg .

The physician, who also conducts research in the areas of prenatal diagnostics and gynecological and breast sonography , has published numerous articles in scientific journals and specialist book contributions since the 1990s.
