The A477 road ( English for road A477 ) is a major road in Wales, counties Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire , which is largely designated as a primary route and which is in St Clairs from the A40 road (The London to Fishguard Trunk Road (A40), also part of European route 30 ) branches off and runs to the west via Kilgetty , where the A478 road , which is also designated as the primary route south to Tenby , is crossed. The A77 continues to Pembroke Dock (ferry port to Rosslare in Ireland ), crosses the Daucleddau estuary of the River Cleddau on the Cleddau Bridge, which opened in 1975 and has no longer been tolled since April 2019, and loses its primary route status. It continues to Johnston , where it meets and ends at the A4076 road .
