AB Achema is the largest chemical company in the Baltic States . The nitrogen fertilizer -Werk located in Jonalaukis in jonava district municipality , Lithuania .

history

"Achema" emerged from the former fertilizer plant G / S Azotas , which was founded in Soviet times (in Soviet Lithuania ). Today the company belongs to the Lithuanian UAB " Achemos grupė ", whose founder was Bronislovas Lubys . In 2011 the profit amounted to 96.3 million litas (30 million euros). In 2012, the company achieved sales of Litas 2324.37 million. In 2012 there were 1,400 employees. In 2014, 2.308 million tons of fertilizer were produced and sales of 530.6 million euros were achieved. In 2015, investments of 23 million euros were planned. In 2015 the company achieved a profit of 73.4 million euros (before taxes) and then paid out a dividend of 30 million euros.
