ACFR Brașov was a Romanian football club from Brașov . He played for a year in Divizia A , the highest Romanian league.
history
ACFR Brașov was founded in 1920 as a sports club of the CFR workshop in Brașov. In 1923 he joined the Romanian Football Association and played in the regional championship. He couldn't qualify for the national finals. In the Romanian Cup in 1934 , ACFR reached the round of 16 after beating Jiul Petroşani , but was eliminated from UDR Reşița . This was the only time that the club survived the first major round.
In 1934, the club of the founding members of the second Romanian league belonged Divizia B . In the season 1934/35 he finished the season I in second place behind Maccabi Bucharest and missed participation in the promotion round only because of the lost direct comparison. The following season , ACFR also finished in second place. In the 1936/37 season ACFR profited from the increase in Divizia A and rose. There he had no chance in the 1937/38 season and was immediately relegated. In the following season in Divizia B, the club occupied only one of the lower ranks, a year later he decided not to participate. During the Second World War , the association disbanded.
