The Associazione Calcio Sangiovannese 1927 (also just Sangiovannese for short ) is a football club from San Giovanni Valdarno , Italy .
history
The association was founded in 1927. The club colors are azure and white. At the end of the 1930s, the team reached the C series . After the war break, the club played in lower-class leagues in order to move up to Serie D in 1958 . The club stayed there until 1971, when the team returned to Serie C and stayed there until 1982. After some relegations, the club returned in 2000 to the fourth-rate series C2 and later to the third-rate series C1 , from which the team was relegated in 2008. Since then, the club has played in the fourth-rate series D.
Stadion
The club plays in the Stadio Virgilio Fedini in Piazza Palermo . It has space for 3,800 spectators and was inaugurated in 1996. The main stand is covered and seats around 1000 spectators.
